Artists: Natalie MacKnight
Boston-based mixed-media artist, Natalie MacKnight creates colorful collages inspired by landscapes, haiku, Matisse (form and color), Calder (balance and space), Romare Bearden (stories through imagery and collage), minimalism, sumi-e paintings and abstract expressionism.
In addition to her collages, the Gallery also carries her handcrafted journals created in traditional techniques with the finest materials. Hand-sewn bindings of her own and traditional designs make these journals functional and aesthetically pleasing. Cover papers are hand-selected and often decorated with original artwork to create one-of-a-kind treasures. The paper used for the text pages is acid-free and archival, contains post-consumer waste whenever possible, and is produced with wind-generated electricity.
